After Rohit Shetty Dhurandhar star Ranveer Singh gets threat demanding crores security beefed up outside home
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who is gearing up for his upcoming film Dhurandhar, has reportedly received a serious extortion threat, sparking concern across the film industry. The threat comes shortly after the firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Mumbai residence, putting authorities on high alert.
As per reports, Ranveer Singh received a threatening WhatsApp voice note in which the sender allegedly demanded crores of rupees and issued warnings of dire consequences if the demand was ignored. The actor immediately approached Mumbai Police and lodged a formal complaint.
Following the complaint, security outside Ranveer Singh’s residence has been tightened. Additional police personnel have been deployed, and surveillance around the area has been increased to ensure the safety of the actor and his family.
The incident has raised alarms as it comes close to the recent firing case involving Rohit Shetty, which had sent shockwaves through Bollywood. Due to these back-to-back incidents, Mumbai Police are taking no chances and are closely monitoring the safety of several high-profile personalities.
At present, no official link has been confirmed between the two cases, but investigators are examining all possible angles, including potential involvement of organized crime networks. Ranveer Singh has not yet released any public statement regarding the threat.
