Kangana Ranaut Breaks Silence On Twisha Sharma Death, Questions Society Treatment Of Married Women

Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has reacted strongly to the shocking death of former actress and model Twisha Sharma, whose alleged dowry death case is currently under investigation in Bhopal. Kangana’s emotional statement on social media has now gone viral, with many praising her for speaking openly about the condition of married women in society.

Sharing her thoughts online, Kangana said that many daughters become emotionally isolated after marriage because society often expects them to “adjust” silently, even during difficult situations. She wrote that parents raise daughters with love and care, but after marriage, many women feel abandoned when facing harassment or emotional pressure in their new homes.

Kangana further stated that women are frequently told to save their marriage at any cost, which sometimes prevents them from speaking openly about abuse, mental stress, or toxic family environments. Without directly naming anyone responsible, she called Twisha’s death “heartbreaking” and demanded strict action if dowry harassment allegations are proven true.

The tragic case has shocked the entertainment industry and social media users alike. Twisha Sharma, a former Miss Pune and actress known for her work in regional cinema and modelling, was found dead at her matrimonial home in Bhopal just months after her marriage to advocate Samarth Singh. Following complaints from her family, police registered a dowry death and harassment case against her husband and mother-in-law.

Reports claim Twisha had been emotionally distressed in recent weeks and allegedly wanted to leave Bhopal and return to her parents. Her family has accused the in-laws of mental and physical harassment, while the accused side has denied all allegations.
