Geralt Comes to Sanctuary The Witcher 3 Lands on Battle.net
A major collaboration between The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Diablo IV is bringing Geralt’s world closer to Blizzard’s Sanctuary. The partnership is also expanding the availability of The Witcher 3 through Battle.net.
The Witcher 3 Arrives on Battle.net
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered is set to launch on Battle.net on September 29, 2026. The release will give PC players another official way to access the acclaimed RPG.
The remastered edition is expected to include visual and performance improvements while retaining the original game’s expansive open-world adventure.
Geralt Enters Sanctuary
The collaboration goes beyond simply bringing The Witcher 3 to Battle.net. Geralt of Rivia is also being connected to the world of Diablo IV through special crossover content.
Players will be able to bring a Witcher-inspired look into Sanctuary through a special Geralt-themed cosmetic.
New Witcher Expansion Announced
CD Projekt Red has also announced Songs of the Past, a new expansion planned for 2027. The expansion is expected to introduce Geralt to a new region called Letten, featuring new environments, characters, enemies and mysteries.
The upcoming expansion will continue Geralt’s journey while expanding the world of The Witcher 3 with new storytelling and gameplay experiences.
What Makes the Collaboration Special?
The partnership brings together two major fantasy RPG universes. The Witcher is known for its character-driven storytelling, monster hunting and open-world exploration, while Diablo IV focuses on dark fantasy, combat and demon-filled adventures.
