Kulbhushan started his acting career with Delhi-based theatre groups like Abhiyan and Yatrik. Later, he joined Kolkata’s renowned theatre group Padatik, where he learned the nuances of acting under Shyamanand Jalan.
Film Career
Kulbhushan made his Bollywood debut in 1974 with Jadu Ka Shankh. He became prominent through films directed by Shyam Benegal, including Nishant (1974), Manthan (1976), Bhumika (1977), and Kalyug (1981).
His role as Shakal in Shaan (1980), inspired by James Bond’s Blofeld, gained him special recognition.
