Who Was Punjabi Singer Yashinder aka Inder Kaur?

Punjabi singer Yashinder Kaur, also known as Inder Kaur, was a 29-year-old artist and make-up professional from Punjab who had gained recognition in the regional music industry through several Punjabi songs and live performances. She was known among fans for tracks like Afghan Jatti, Sohna Lagda, Laanedaarni, Desi Sirre De, Sone Di Wang, and Kisaan Anthem.

According to reports, Inder Kaur went missing on May 13, 2026, after leaving her Ludhiana home in her Ford Figo car. Her family later alleged that she had been abducted at gunpoint. A police complaint was reportedly registered against two suspects, including a man identified as Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha from Moga district.

Days later, on May 19, her body was recovered from the Neelon canal near Ludhiana. Family members identified the body at Samrala Civil Hospital, after which police intensified the investigation. Authorities are currently examining allegations related to kidnapping, coercion, and possible murder.

Reports suggest that one of the accused allegedly wanted to marry the singer, but she had refused the proposal. Her family believes this rejection may have been linked to the incident. Some reports also claim that one accused fled to Canada after the alleged crime, though police investigation is still ongoing and official confirmation on several aspects is awaited.
