Karuppu starring Suriya continued its strong theatrical run on Day 3 as the fantasy action drama moved closer to the ₹50 crore India net milestone. The worldwide gross collection is reportedly nearing ₹78 crore, making it one of the strongest Tamil openings of the year.

Social media reactions have also played a major role in boosting occupancy over the weekend. Multiplexes and single screens in Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad reported packed evening and night shows.
The fantasy-action entertainer opened strongly on Friday and maintained excellent momentum through the weekend. Trade analysts believe the movie now has a solid chance of crossing the ₹100 crore worldwide mark if weekday collections remain stable.
