Twisha Sharma Death Case Actress Left Films Due To Marriage Pressure

The death case of former actress and model Twisha Sharma has shocked the entertainment industry, with fresh claims now surfacing about why she reportedly left acting after marriage. According to multiple media reports and statements from her close friends and co-stars, Twisha allegedly stepped away from films and modelling because of increasing pressure within her marital life and objections from her in-laws regarding her glamorous career.

Twisha, a former Miss Pune and actress known for appearing in the Telugu film Mugguru Monagallu, married Bhopal-based advocate Samarth Singh in December 2025. Just a few months later, she was found dead at her husband’s home in Bhopal, leading to a major dowry death investigation. Police later registered a case against her husband and mother-in-law under dowry harassment and dowry death sections.

A close friend of Twisha reportedly claimed that her mother-in-law disliked her modelling profession even before the wedding and allegedly pressured her to remove old photos and distance herself from the entertainment industry. Reports also suggest Twisha had become emotionally distressed after marriage and had confided in friends and family about feeling “trapped” and mentally exhausted.

WhatsApp chats accessed by media outlets reportedly showed Twisha telling her mother that she felt suffocated and wanted to return home. Another conversation with a friend allegedly revealed that she regretted being “trapped” in the marriage. Her family has accused the in-laws of mental and physical harassment, while her mother-in-law has denied all allegations and claimed Twisha was emotionally unstable.
