Salman Khan Being Human Faces Legal Trouble Over Rs 3 Crore Dispute, Alvira Khan Also Named
Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation has landed in legal trouble after a Chandigarh district court issued a pre-cognisance notice in connection with a complaint linked to a Being Human jewellery franchise. Salman Khan’s sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri and directors of Style Quotient Jewellery Pvt Ltd have also been named in the proceedings.
What Is the Rs 3 Crore Dispute?
The case relates to a Chandigarh-based businessman who reportedly invested around Rs 2–3 crore in a Being Human Jewellery showroom. The complaint alleges that promises regarding business support, product supply and promotion were not fulfilled, leading to financial losses for the complainant.
The businessman had previously alleged that he was assured of promotional support associated with the Being Human brand, including Salman Khan’s involvement. The dispute dates back to the period when the jewellery outlet was established.
Salman Khan and Alvira Khan Named
The latest court proceedings have brought Salman Khan, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Being Human Foundation and other parties into the spotlight. The court has issued notices so that the allegations can be considered through the legal process. Reports state that the matter is scheduled for further proceedings, with October 5 mentioned for appearance.
Importantly, the notice does not mean that the allegations have been proven. The parties will have an opportunity to present their positions before the court.
Being Human’s Earlier Clarification
The dispute is not entirely new. In 2021, Being Human – The Salman Khan Foundation had clarified that it was not a party to the memorandum of understanding between the concerned businesses. The foundation also stated that Salman Khan was the owner of the Being Human brand but was not a trustee of the Being Human Foundation.
The earlier complaint had similarly involved allegations concerning investment in a Being Human Jewellery outlet and claims about promised promotional and business support.
What Happens Next?
The Chandigarh court proceedings will determine how the complaint progresses. The latest notice has once again brought the long-running business dispute involving the Being Human jewellery franchise into the spotlight.
For now, the allegations remain subject to the legal process, and no final finding of wrongdoing has been established against Salman Khan, Alvira Khan Agnihotri or the other parties named in the complaint.
