While discussing his 2001 directorial Dil Chahta Hai, Farhan recalled an incident involving Saif Ali Khan, who had reportedly faced a scheduling issue before the film went on floors. Farhan described how difficult such a situation could be for a filmmaker when an actor considers leaving a project shortly before shooting.
He then made a pointed observation, saying that actors leaving projects at the last minute “seems to be a pattern nowadays.” The statement quickly caught attention because of the ongoing discussion surrounding Ranveer Singh and Don 3.
