Tamil actor-turned-politician Vijay celebrated his first Independence Day as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on August 15, 2026. He attended the official celebrations in Chennai and participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony at Fort St George.
The event attracted significant attention as actress Trisha Krishnan attended the ceremony along with her mother, Uma Krishnan. Trisha was seen seated in the front row with Vijay’s parents, S.A. Chandrasekhar and Shobha Chandrasekhar.
