Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh is making headlines for his Dil-Luminati tour currently happening in India. During his concert in Guwahati on Sunday (December 29), Diljit paid tribute to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who passed away on Thursday after a prolonged illness.

At the concert, Diljit displayed a large picture of Manmohan Singh and dedicated the event to him. He spoke about Singh’s simple life, calm demeanor, and his ability to avoid negativity, even in politics. Diljit highlighted how Singh never spoke ill of others, a rare quality in today’s world.

Quoting a powerful line in Hindi, he said, “Hazaron jawabon se meri khamoshi acchi, na jaane kitne sawalon ki aabru rakhe” (My silence is better than a thousand answers; who knows how many questions it preserves the dignity of).

Diljit urged the youth to follow Manmohan Singh’s principles, encouraging them to stay focused on their goals and rise above negativity. He praised Singh for his achievements, including being the first Sikh to have his signature on Indian currency, and saluted him as a true patriot who dedicated his life to the nation.

Fans showered love and respect for Diljit’s heartfelt gesture. Comments like “Bohot badhiya paaji” and “Ek hi dil hai, paaji, kitni baar jeetoge?” flooded social media. Congress leader Supriya Shrinate also applauded Diljit, calling him brave for honoring Singh while others in the industry stayed silent.

Diljit has been in the global spotlight this year, especially after performing at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in April 2023, becoming the first Indian to achieve this milestone. He will conclude the India leg of his Dil-Luminati tour in Ludhiana. Also Read:- Baby John’ Smashes Box Office with ₹11 Crore Opening Day
