Gadar 3: Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel to Return as Tara Singh and Sakina? Director Anil Sharma Shares Major Update
Fans of the Gadar franchise have a big reason to celebrate as director Anil Sharma has officially confirmed that Gadar 3 is in development. The filmmaker revealed that work on the script is currently underway and the team is focused on creating a story that can surpass the success of both Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Gadar 2.
Speaking about the much-awaited sequel, Anil Sharma said he will only make the film if he finds a story powerful enough to justify another installment. He compared the first film to a “bomb,” Gadar 2 to an “atom bomb,” and said Gadar 3 must be a “nuclear bomb” in terms of scale and impact.
While an official cast announcement is still pending, Sunny Deol is widely expected to return as the iconic Tara Singh, while Ameesha Patel is likely to reprise her beloved role as Sakina. Utkarsh Sharma is also expected to continue playing Jeete.
According to the director, the script is still being developed, and if everything goes according to plan, shooting could begin in 2027. He also hinted at the possibility of adding new faces to the franchise, with veteran actor Nana Patekar reportedly being considered for a role.

As of now, no official release date has been announced, but Anil Sharma has assured fans that the team is taking its time to ensure the film lives up to the legacy of the franchise.
