Shahid Kapoor’s OTT debut with the web series Farzi was a major hit in 2023. Directed by Raj & DK, the series featured Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, and Vijay Sethupathi in key roles. The gripping storyline revolved around an artist who gets entangled in the dangerous world of counterfeiting. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the sequel, Farzi 2.
While the makers announced Farzi 2 quite some time ago, the web series is yet to go on floors. However, there’s a buzz around Shahid Kapoor’s fees for the much-anticipated series. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the actor is charging a hefty Rs 45 crore for Farzi 2. This is a significant increase from his usual fee, which is reportedly between Rs 25 to Rs 30 crore per film. Since Farzi 2 is a web series, the pay structure appears to be different, justifying the increased remuneration.
Raashii Khanna, who was a prominent part of the first season, recently shared that the script for Farzi 2 is still in the writing stage. In an interview with News18, she mentioned that both she and Shahid are eagerly waiting for the green light to start filming. “Shahid is as clueless as me. We’re just waiting for a call that the script is ready and that we can start shooting,” she said. The production is expected to commence in December 2025.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in the film Deva, where he portrayed the role of a cop. The film was released earlier this year and received a positive response from audiences. His next project is titled Arjun Ustara, a love story mixed with a gangster drama twist. The film also stars Nana Patekar, Vikrant Massey, and Randeep Hooda and is currently in the filming stage.
With the massive success of Farzi, expectations for the sequel are sky-high. Fans are keen to see what Shahid Kapoor and the rest of the cast bring to the table in Farzi 2. Stay tuned for more updates on the show as it gears up to go on floors later this year. Also Read:- New Web Series Scam 2003: The Telgi Story
