The upcoming mythological film Ramayana has attracted attention after its Chennai music event, where lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi showcased two distinctive styles inspired by Indian tradition. Ranbir’s royal outfit and Sai’s elegant Banarasi silk saree became major highlights of the occasion.

The event took place on October 21, 2026, at the Chennai Trade Centre. Music composer A. R. Rahman was also among the notable attendees.

Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama in the film, appeared in a black embroidered bandhgala jacket paired with matching trousers. The outfit featured intricate monochrome patterns, a white collar and a flower brooch that added a sophisticated touch.

His carefully tailored ensemble gave him a regal appearance, reflecting the royal atmosphere associated with Ayodhya and the epic story of Lord Rama. His overall styling combined traditional Indian menswear with a modern, polished finish.

Sai Pallavi Banarasi Silk Saree Steals the Spotlight

Sai Pallavi, who portrays Goddess Sita, embraced traditional Indian craftsmanship in a navy-blue Banarasi Katan silk saree.

The saree featured elaborate gold motifs and a broad zari border, highlighting the beauty of traditional Banarasi weaving. She paired it with a matching elbow-length blouse featuring decorative detailing along the sleeves.

The actress completed her look with a gold choker adorned with red and green stones and pearls, small jhumka earrings, softly styled curls and a red bindi. Her understated makeup complemented the traditional outfit.

Sai’s appearance received attention for its graceful simplicity and emphasis on Indian textile heritage.

Ramayana Brings Indian Tradition to the Forefront
