Case Registered After Speaker Stand Collapse at Toxic Pre-Release Event
A promotional event for Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups turned chaotic in Hyderabad after a speaker stand reportedly collapsed, leaving four people injured.
The incident took place at Malla Reddy University in Medchal during the film’s pre-release event. According to reports, some fans had climbed onto a structure supporting sound equipment to get a better view of the stage. The structure reportedly gave way, causing several people to fall.
Among the injured was reportedly a student who suffered a leg fracture, while three others sustained minor injuries. The injured were taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
The incident reportedly happened while Yash was present on stage. The programme was interrupted as organisers responded to the situation and checked on those affected.
Following the accident, Cyberabad Police registered a case against the event manager and the venue’s management. Authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the collapse, including the arrangements made for the large gathering and sound equipment.
The incident has also raised questions about crowd management and safety measures at major film promotional events, particularly when large numbers of fans attend.
