The Witcher Officially Returns With New Release in 4 Months
The Witcher franchise is set to make a major comeback with a new release arriving in December 2026. While fans are waiting for the fifth and final season of Netflix’s popular fantasy series, the upcoming release is actually a new graphic novel collection based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Last Wish.
The Last Wish – Complete Collection
Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher: The Last Wish – The Complete Collection is scheduled to release on December 15, 2026. The deluxe hardcover will feature 384 pages and collect several graphic-novel adaptations of stories from the original Witcher book.
The collection will include adaptations of The Witcher, A Grain of Truth, The Lesser Evil, A Question of Price, The Edge of the World and The Last Wish. It will also feature a new adaptation of The Voice of Reason.
Geralt’s Early Adventures Return
The collection will take fans back to some of Geralt of Rivia’s earliest adventures, featuring monsters, magic, curses and the complicated concept of destiny that has always been central to The Witcher universe.
Fans will also get another look at Geralt’s relationship with Yennefer, making the collection particularly interesting for those who have followed the franchise across books, games and television

Collector’s Edition Features
The upcoming hardcover is being positioned as a premium collector’s release. It is expected to include special cover artwork, gilded page edges, a cover gallery, sketchbook material and a ribbon bookmark.
What About Season 5?
Netflix’s The Witcher Season 5 remains highly anticipated and will serve as the final season of the television adaptation. Liam Hemsworth is returning as Geralt, while Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan continue as Yennefer and Ciri.
However, the December 2026 release should not be confused with Season 5. The graphic novel collection is the next major Witcher release, while the final Netflix season is expected later.
