Akshay Kumar Strongly Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack During Kesari 2 Screening; Audience Responds with Powerful Chant
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has once again proven that he not only portrays patriotism on screen but also stands firmly for it off-screen. The actor, known for his nationalistic roles, was among the first celebrities to react to the horrifying Pahalgam terror attack that left the entire nation shaken. On April 22, terrorists opened fire on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, claiming the lives of 26 people and injuring many others.
Akshay Kumar, alongside other Bollywood figures like Sonu Sood, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Sanjay Dutt, took to social media to express grief and outrage over the senseless violence. Sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), Akshay wrote, “Horrified to know of the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Sheer evil to kill innocent people like this. Prayers for their families.”
Taking his support a step further, Akshay Kumar made an appearance at a special screening of his latest release, Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. Joining him was actor R. Madhavan. The screening was packed with fans, and emotions ran high as Akshay addressed the audience about the recent tragedy. In a heartfelt speech, Akshay said, “Unfortunately, that anger in hearts has awakened again. You all know what I am talking about. Today also, we only have one thing to say to those terrorists, that’s what I have said through this film…”
As he turned the microphone toward the audience, the crowd passionately chanted “F**k you,” echoing a powerful dialogue from Kesari Chapter 2. The unscripted moment quickly went viral across social media, symbolizing the public’s raw emotions and solidarity against terrorism.
Meanwhile, Kesari Chapter 2, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and co-starring Ananya Panday, is performing well at the box office. According to Sacnilk.com, the historical courtroom drama, which sheds light on the courageous lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, collected approximately ₹7 crore on its ninth day, pushing its total earnings past the ₹50 crore mark.
