Urvashi Rautela Forgets Her Own Song ‘Dabidi Dabidi’ On Camera; Internet Explodes with Memes and Reactions
If you’ve somehow missed hearing about Dabidi Dabidi, chances are you’ve been out of the social media loop. The song, from the film Daaku Maharaj, gained widespread attention for all the wrong reasons — and now, it’s back in the headlines thanks to a viral moment involving actress Urvashi Rautela.
Urvashi Rautela, who starred in the controversial track alongside Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna, recently found herself at the center of a hilarious internet storm. In a video shared by Filmygyan on social media, the actress attempted to croon a few lines from Dabidi Dabidi but stumbled midway, appearing completely blank. Struggling to remember the lyrics of her own promotional track, Urvashi awkwardly improvised and quickly wrapped up the moment.
This slip-up didn’t go unnoticed. Netizens, already critical of the song for its bold choreography and peculiar lyrics, jumped in with sarcastic and funny comments. One user wrote, “Tu rehne de behen,” while another mocked, “Song bulgayi pagli, stupid song.” Some took it to the next level, posting memes and cheeky remarks like, “Justice for the song,” and “Ye apna bhajan gaari hai sakshaat Urvashi Mata.”
Released on January 12, Daaku Maharaj stirred controversy with Dabidi Dabidi right from the start. The song’s visuals and choreography drew criticism from viewers, but Urvashi defended the track by claiming it was designed especially for Balakrishna’s fanbase. “Every lyric, every word is crafted according to their mindset,” she had said in an earlier statement, justifying the song’s over-the-top styling and tone.
But the recent lapse has only added fuel to the fire. Many users are now questioning the sincerity of the promotion and the overall impact of the song. Despite the backlash, the moment has gone viral and ironically brought Dabidi Dabidi back into the spotlight.
Daaku Maharaj also stars Bobby Deol as the main antagonist and includes an ensemble cast of Chandini Chowdhary, Pragya Jaiswal, and Shraddha Srinath. Directed by Bobby Kolli and scored by S Thaman, the film’s promotional strategy heavily leaned on Urvashi’s song — making her lyrical lapse all the more meme-worthy.
Whether the moment was a genuine memory slip or a publicity stunt, it’s safe to say Urvashi Rautela has unintentionally given Dabidi Dabidi another round of attention — and the internet, as always, isn’t letting it go that easily.
