Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection Day 5 Emraan Hashmi Scores First Solo ₹100 Crore Hit
Emraan Hashmi has achieved a major career milestone with Awarapan 2. The romantic-action drama crossed the ₹100 crore mark in India on its fifth day, giving the actor his first ₹100 crore film as a solo lead.
Released on August 14, the film opened with ₹22 crore on Day 1. It then recorded ₹33.75 crore on Saturday and ₹26 crore on Sunday, taking its opening weekend total to ₹81.75 crore. On Monday, the film collected ₹9.25 crore before adding another ₹9.75 crore on Tuesday.
With the Day 5 collection, Awarapan 2 reached approximately ₹100.75 crore net in India. Its India gross collection stood at around ₹120 crore, while the worldwide gross had reached approximately ₹144.13 crore.
The achievement is particularly significant for Emraan Hashmi because, despite being part of several commercially successful films, Awarapan 2 marks his first ₹100 crore theatrical success as the main solo lead. The film has therefore emerged as one of the biggest box-office milestones of his career.
The sequel has also performed strongly despite competition from Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947. The strong response to the Awarapan franchise, Emraan Hashmi’s popularity and the film’s music have helped maintain audience interest during the weekdays.
