Chand Mera Dil Faces Second-Week Test as Obsession Outshines Romance at Box Offic

Chand Mera Dil Box Office Collection Day 10: Romance Drama Slows Down as Obsession Takes the Lead

The romantic drama Chand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani, is finding it difficult to maintain momentum at the box office during its second weekend. While the film showed slight growth on Day 10, the numbers remain modest compared to newer releases, especially the Hollywood horror sensation Obsession.

According to the latest trade estimates, Chand Mera Dil earned around ₹1.8 crore net in India on Day 10, a minor jump from the previous day’s ₹1.75 crore. The film’s total India net collection now stands at approximately ₹24.3 crore, while the worldwide gross has crossed ₹32 crore.

Directed by Vivek Soni and backed by Dharma Productions, the film opened with limited pre-release buzz but managed to attract audiences through word-of-mouth and its emotional storyline. The movie follows a young couple whose college romance takes a complicated turn after an unexpected pregnancy and the challenges of married life.

However, despite the weekend boost, Chand Mera Dil could not match the performance of Obsession, which reportedly collected over ₹3 crore on the same day, indicating stronger audience interest and better occupancy. The horror thriller has become a surprise box-office contender, creating tough competition for the romantic drama.

Trade analysts note that while Chand Mera Dil has remained steady, its weekday drops and reduced screen count have limited its growth potential. The film completed its first week with nearly ₹19.5 crore net collections, but the second week has seen slower gains

With a worldwide total now above ₹32 crore, the film has avoided a complete collapse, yet its long-term box-office fate will depend on how it performs against strong competition in the coming days.
