Cocktail 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon And Rashmika Mandanna’s Film Sees Massive Monday Drop, Crosses ₹50 Crore Mark
Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, faced its first major weekday test at the box office after a strong opening weekend.
After an impressive three-day run, the romantic drama reportedly witnessed a significant decline on Monday, earning around ₹6.35 crore net in India. Despite the drop, the film successfully crossed the ₹50 crore mark, taking its estimated domestic total to approximately ₹53.85 crore net.
The movie opened strongly on Friday and gained momentum throughout the weekend. Saturday collections showed a healthy jump, while Sunday emerged as the highest-earning day due to strong occupancy in multiplexes and major cities.
The sharp Monday decline was expected, as most romantic dramas experience a slowdown once the weekend ends. However, trade analysts believe the film is still holding reasonably well considering the genre and the competitive box-office environment.
International markets have also contributed significantly to the film’s performance. Reports suggest the movie has crossed ₹85 crore worldwide, helping it maintain strong overall momentum.
Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 is being positioned as a spiritual successor to the 2012 hit Cocktail. The story explores modern relationships, friendship and emotional complications between its lead characters.
One of the biggest attractions for audiences has been the fresh pairing and chemistry between Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. Strong promotional campaigns and social media buzz also helped boost opening-weekend numbers.
