Drishyam 3 Worldwide Collection Day 22: Can Mohanlal’s Film Surpass Dulquer Salmaan’s Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra?
Mohanlal’s blockbuster thriller Drishyam 3 continues its remarkable box office run even after three weeks in theatres. The film has maintained a steady performance across domestic and international markets, benefiting from strong audience appreciation and positive word-of-mouth.
By Day 22, Drishyam 3 had reportedly collected around ₹236-237 crore worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of the year. The movie has performed exceptionally well in Kerala, other Indian states, and key overseas markets including the Gulf region, North America, and Europe.
The film’s success has once again highlighted the popularity of the Drishyam franchise. Fans have praised Mohanlal’s performance and the gripping storyline, helping the thriller remain a strong attraction despite entering its fourth week.
However, the biggest challenge ahead is surpassing Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, starring Dulquer Salmaan, which reportedly holds the record with a worldwide collection of approximately ₹303.86 crore. To break that record, Drishyam 3 still needs to earn nearly ₹67 crore more.
While the pace of collections has slowed compared to its opening weeks, trade experts believe the film still has a chance if it continues to perform steadily and faces limited competition from new releases. Reaching the ₹300 crore milestone will not be easy, but the film remains in contention thanks to its strong fan base and consistent earnings.
