Nana Patekar Dies at 75 Veteran Actor Passes Away in Goa
Veteran Indian actor Nana Patekar has passed away at the age of 75. The acclaimed actor died in Goa in the early hours of Thursday, October 8, 2026, after suffering a cardiac arrest. His death has sent shockwaves across the Hindi and Marathi film industries.
What Happened to Nana Patekar?
According to reports, Nana Patekar was at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa, when his health suddenly deteriorated. He was found unconscious and was rushed to Manipal Hospital.
Doctors attempted to revive him with continuous CPR for around 45 minutes, but he could not be revived. He was declared dead at around 5:20 am, according to information provided by doctors at Manipal Hospital.
A medico-legal case has been registered and a post-mortem examination is being conducted to establish the exact medical circumstances surrounding his death.

Initial medical reports indicate that Nana Patekar suffered a cardiac arrest. Reports say he had experienced discomfort before his condition worsened. The precise underlying trigger is expected to be clarified through the post-mortem process.

Nana Patekar’s last known public appearance came just four days before his death, when he attended an event in Goa. He had been in the state for the event before returning to his residence.
