Veteran playback singer Alka Yagnik has finally addressed concerns about her health after fans noticed her fragile appearance at the Padma Awards 2026.
The singer attended the prestigious ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where she was honoured with the Padma Bhushan. Videos from the event quickly went viral, with many fans expressing concern after seeing her being assisted while walking.

Alka Yagnik was diagnosed with a rare hearing condition called sensorineural hearing loss in 2024 after a viral attack affected her hearing. Since then, she has significantly reduced her professional commitments and focused on recovery.
Receiving the Padma Bhushan marked an emotional milestone for the singer, who described the honour as a symbol of strength, gratitude and perseverance.
