Anthony Mackie Wants Shah Rukh Khan as an Avenger—Will SRK Join the MCU?
Hollywood meets Bollywood in an exciting crossover moment! Anthony Mackie, who plays Captain America in the upcoming Marvel film Brave New World, recently expressed his desire to see Shah Rukh Khan as an Avenger. In an interview with influencer Kevin Zingkhai, Mackie was asked which Bollywood star he would like to recruit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Without hesitation, he replied, “I think Shah Rukh Khan, he’s the damn best!”
This statement has sent SRK fans into a frenzy, with many imagining the Bollywood superstar donning a superhero suit and fighting alongside the Avengers. While Shah Rukh has played a superhero before in Ra.One, being a part of the MCU would be a whole new level of global recognition.
However, will King Khan take up the opportunity if it ever comes his way? In a 2024 interview with Variety, Shah Rukh Khan revealed that he hasn’t signed any Hollywood projects because he hasn’t received a role that does justice to his stardom in India. He stated, “It should be a role worthy of the status the Indian audience has given me. It should not let down.”
Meanwhile, Captain America: Brave New World is set to release on February 14, 2025, starring Mackie, Harrison Ford, Seth Rollins, and Rosa Salazar. In India, the film will face box office competition from Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.
