Gulshan Grover Confirms Kabira’s Return in Hera Pheri 3 – Promises a New Twist
Fans of the iconic comedy Hera Pheri (2000) have something exciting to look forward to! Actor Gulshan Grover has officially confirmed that he will be returning as the villainous Kabira in the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3. Grover, famous for his line “Kabira speaking,” will once again share the screen with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty under the direction of Priyadarshan.
The Hera Pheri franchise has remained one of the most loved comedy series in Bollywood. The last installment, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), left fans wanting more, and after nearly two decades, the third part is finally in the works. While the story details are still under wraps, Grover has revealed that Kabira’s character will return with an exciting new dimension.
A New Side to Kabira
In the original Hera Pheri, Kabira was a ruthless crime boss whose accidental call to Baburao (Paresh Rawal) triggered a hilarious chain of events. Though he had a brief presence in Phir Hera Pheri, fans always hoped for his proper comeback. Now, after 19 years, their wish is coming true.
Speaking about his role in an interview with Mid-Day, Grover said, “Yes, Kabira returns! I am super excited about doing Hera Pheri 3. I have met producer Firoze Nadiadwala multiple times and heard the role.”
Though he remained tight-lipped about the plot, he did reveal that this time, Kabira will not just be a villain but will also have some positive shades to his character. This fresh take is expected to bring new surprises to the story.
Exciting Cast and New Additions
Apart from the return of the original trio—Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty—there are also rumors that Tabu might join the cast. While her role hasn’t been confirmed yet, fans are excited to see how the story unfolds.
Gulshan Grover’s Busy Schedule
Apart from Hera Pheri 3, Grover has an eventful year ahead. He was recently seen in Indian 2 (2024) and has multiple films lined up, including:

- Matka King, directed by Nagraj Manjule
- An action comedy produced by Karan Johar, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan
Speaking about his career choices, Grover said, “I believe an actor who has created a brand has to be careful about what roles he picks later in his career. My dear friend Anil Kapoor has set a great example of this.”
